ON LOYALTY:
The level of loyalty I am holding up. It’s just maybe not to the eye of the people they want it to be. Doesn’t mean it’s right or wrong. But the guy I’m loyal to is the people that are most loyal to me – which is me and my Coach.
Duane Ludwig has put more work in me than anybody ever has in my entire life. And just the fact that he’s willing to do anything, you know? That guy works harder at his job than I do at my own, and when you find that – you don’t let it go.
None of those other guys – they’re my very bestest friends at Team Alpha Male, right? But they’re not going to give me the time of day that Duane does. They’re not going to put their life and… Their goals are not going to be my goals.
Duane Ludwig’s goals are my goals, and that’s crazy. When you find that, that’s what you’re loyal to. You’re loyal to people that are loyal to you.
ON IMPORTANCE OF WRESTLING:
Wrestling is I think the best discipline to come with into this sport. Just because it’s the hardest sport to this day that I’ve ever done. Not only the martial arts that it teaches you to win fights, but also just the mental aspect it teaches you.
It teaches you to be mentally tough, it teaches you how to work hard; the dedication. I really don’t believe on anything I’ve done that I’ve ever worked harder than I have in wrestling.
