Interview with Jorge Linares at the Matthysse-Dallas fight card. In our conversation with Linares the former world champion informed us that he is awaiting word from his promoter, Golden Boy Promotions, to determine when his next fight will be. Linares has been rumoured to be reappearing on March in a card in Panama but Linares tells us that the fight card is not confirmed and has no prefrence on when he returns.

In his last outing went ten tough rounds against Mexican veteran Hector Velasquez obtaining a unanimous decision. Linares was faster and the harder puncher, and when working from the centre of the ring was in control, but Velasquez was doing good work with short hooks on the inside. Linares a clear winner on scores of 100-89, 98-91 and 97-91. Linares returned to the winning column after two straight losses.
