ASHLEY LANE IS LOOKING TO MAKE A BIG IMPACT IN BRISTOL ON MARCH 1ST

Hennessy Sports Logo2London (20 February) Ashley Lane is hoping to make a big impact in Bristol when he fights on the James DeGale undercard at the City Academy, on March 1st.

The 25-year-old bantamweight now lives in the area and is hoping to establish himself as a crowd favourite.

“This is my first time boxing in Bristol since I have moved down here from the Midlands and I am looking to put on a great show,” Lane said.

“I have a come forward, fan-friendly style and I am hoping to build up a great fan base down here in the South West.”

Lane competes on the undercard to 2008 Beijing Olympic Gold Medallist, DeGale’s, WBC SIlver super middleweight title defence against undefeated Gevorg Katchikian.

DeGale meets the Netherlands based former IBO Youth champion, Katchikian, who boasts a perfect record of 20-0, ahead of his WBC sanctioned final eliminator against Mayweather promoted Badou Jack.

Also scheduled to fight on the March 1st show is Bristol’s own British bantamweight champion Lee Haskins and a whole host of talent, including local Bristol fighters Lee Nutland and Dan Sarkozi and Weston Super-Mare’s Liam Hunt in his professional debut.
