Weights from Magdeburg: Chagaev 246 – Pianeta 242.5

Chagaev_Pianeta_7_10_2015Promoters Timur Dugazaev (Akhmat Promotion / Terek Box Event) and Ulf Steinforth (SES Boxing) are keeping their word at the “Heavy Night” in Magdeburg, Germany, tomorrow (Saturday, July 11th) when they send a total of almost 3000 lbs. (more than 1300 kg) into the ring in six heavyweight bouts. In the main event WBA World Heavyweight Champion Ruslan Chagaev (111.6 kg / 246 lbs.) takes on Francesco Pianeta (110 kg / 242.5 lbs.).

In the heaviest fight of the night Russia’s Apti Davtaev (117.5 kg / 259 lbs.) faces Jakov Gospic (117 kg / 258 lbs.) for the vacant WBC CISBB Championship. The vacant WBO European title will also be on the line when German hope Michael Wallisch (111 kg / 244.7 lbs.) steps into the ring against Italy’s Gabio Tuiach (100 kg / 220 lbs.). Edmund Gerber (112.2 kg / 247.3 lbs.) fights Lubos Suda (92.1 kg / 203 lbs.), former European Champion Alexander Dimitrenko (114.3 kg / 252 lbs.) is taking on Zoltan Csala (115.4 kg / 254.5) and hot prospect Tom Schwarz (107.9 kg / 238 lbs.) meets “Sandman” Konstantin Airich (104.4 kg / 230 lbs.) in an all-German affair.
