WARREN MAKES OFFER TO McDONNELL TO FIGHT NEW IBF KING PAUL BUTLER

queensbry promotions logoPromoter Frank Warren has made an offer to the manager of WBA World Bantamweight Champion Jamie McDonnell to fight newly crowned  IBF Champion Paul Butler.

The Ellesmere Port ace won the title on Saturday night in Newcastle, outpointing Stuart Hall to claim the title in only his second fight in the bantamweight division.

Undefeated Butler, who’s army of fans outnumbered the defending champion Stuey Halls by 4-1, has now targeted Doncaster’s McDonnell in what would be a domestic blockbuster.

Following Butler’s fantastic win, Warren has put forward a career best payday to McDonnell’s manager Dennis Hobson and is awaiting a response.

Warren said; “It’s a natural fight with added spice, two British world champions at the top of their game.  BoxNation do everything possible to make the best fights happen and the new season will throw up some matches to prove that and this would be a great match to whet the appetite. Paul Butler is undoubtedly an outstanding fighter with a huge following that will only get bigger and this is a fight that I am convinced he will win if his performance against Hall is anything to go by.”
