BRAD “King” SOLOMON (25-0, 9 KOs)

“I got in trouble when I was 17 and was sentenced to eight years in prison. But the DA said if I went in and got my GED and showed I was doing the right things he would reduce my sentence. So I joined the prison boxing team and began to fight. Some of the fights were against Lifers — who were never getting out of prison and who were the toughest fighters of all. They had nothing to lose. I was able to beat them.

“It was my mother who went to the D.A. to tell him I was doing good and was turning my life around. He came to see me and I was eventually let out of prison.

“I fought as an amateur and got a big win over future world champions Demetrius Andrade, Jessie Vargas and Danny Garcia.

“I’ve been waiting for a big network fight and now we have it on truTV. I know the importance of it. It will take me only a round or two to figure out Ray Serrano. I will box him, counter, mix it up, show my skills. This win will get me closer to what I really want – a fight on HBO”

RAY “Tito” SERRANO (21-2, 9 KOs)

“I’m a Philly fighter and a lot of Philly fighters have been on hard times, been in the ghetto, have no money. So when you walk into a Philly Gym you can find a hard fight real quick.

“My parents are from Puerto Rico. So when I fight I bring excitement, fans waving Puerto flags and me throwing hard punches.

“I knew who Brad Solomon was but not sure who he is now. Who has he really beaten? I’m trained by Buddy McGirt. Once Solomon feels my power on Friday night he’s going to change up his game plan real quick. I am smart in the ring with a good jab and with great punching power. It’s going to be ‘Tito Time’ on Friday night on truTV.”

THE OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN — WHICH IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC — WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY AT 3:00 P.M. AT THE PARK SPORTS BAR & GRILL (20 West Park Ave., Long Beach, NY 11561).
