David Price (17-2, 15 KOs) will face Yaroslav Zavorotnyi (16-6, 14 KOs) on June 7th at the Sport and Congress Centre in Schwerin, Germany.

Price returns to action following the third-round stoppage of Ondrej Pala in Denmark in April. The British heavyweight believes he is back to his best thanks to the experience he has gained in his last two fights away from home.

‘’I feel like I have really benefitted from fighting away from home,’’ said Price. ’’There is a lot less pressure and that has given me the opportunity to express myself more in the ring. In my last fight against Pala, I was calm and relaxed, and I was able to enjoy the whole occasion. I have definitely got my mojo back. I can’t wait to get back into the mix with all the big names in the heavyweight division.’’

Price must first get past former European title challenger Yaroslav Zavorotnyi.

‘’Zavorotnyi is a strong, durable opponent,’’ said Price. ‘’He has a decent knockout record and has gone the distance with some good boxers including Kubrat Pulev. He is definitely not someone I can overlook. No matter who is put in front of me I’ve got to put in a good performance and make sure I get the win.’’

Said promoter Kalle Sauerland: ‘’Pricey has really impressed me in his last two fights. Not only with his performances in the ring but also his attitude outside of it. He really is a consummate professional and a great ambassador for the sport. He is now ranked in the top ten with the WBO and will continue to climb the rankings with another win in Schwerin.”

Topping the bill on June 7th is WBA World Light Heavyweight Champion Juergen Braehmer, who will defend his title against an as yet unnamed opponent.
