Martínez vs Cotto?

The possibility that Miguel Cotto can turn into the first Puerto Rican fighter in conquering world titles in four different divisions is still very much on!

Promoter Bob Arum said that he’s working, so Cotto can challenge Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez, current WBCmiddleweight champion on June 7 in New York.

“I feel optimistic that this fight will take place. The negotiations are still taking place, but there’s a big chance that this fight is possible” Arum said.

It is said that this fight will be broadcasted by HBO PPV having as venue the Metlife Stadium or the Madsison Square Garden.

For the time being Martinez is still in rehab, treating the injury he suffered last February when he defended his title in Argentina.
