Only one thing is on the mind of Jose Chon Zepeda this Saturday November 8, when he faces tough jr welterweight contender Victor Cayo in Monterey Mexico. Winning is everything for this young boxing prospect specially winning over any doubters or haters he may have.

Zepeda is currently wrapping up an intensive training camp with undefeated WBO World Champion Chris Algeiri, where he is serving as the main sparring partner in preparation for the biggest fight of Algieri’s boxing career when he faces Manny Paquiao in Macau China, November 22, 2014.

When Zepeda received the call that his services were being requested by an undefeated world champion, he accepted immediately.

The word has gotten around in the boxing world that Jose Chon Zepeda can give any world class fighter a tough sparring session. That’s just the kind of work any world champion needs in preparation for a big fight. WBC World champion Timothy Bradley has also hired Jose’s services on several occasions.

According to his world class trainer Roberto Alcazar, this is the kind of work that will benefit Jose, who is now 20-0-17 ko’s, and help him evolve into a successful boxer. Alcazar added that Chon Zepeda is a special kind of athlete because he listens to instructions in-between rounds and believes that’s key to a long and fruitful boxing career.

17 of his big wins have come via knockout, and have come naturally to Jose because he has learned to fire his arsenal of heavy punches at the right time in the fight. Alcazar affirms that it’s just a matter of time, and Jose Chon Zepeda will become a World Champion.

Zepeda himself feels that he is ready for the big leagues, and states that whoever his team puts in front of him he will beat.”My job is to fight, if my team feels the time is right and everything else is in order, my only job is to win and that’s what I intend to do”.

When asked about his experiences sparing world champions Jose says he is happy he can help them and he appreciates all the experience he is also getting from the sparring sessions.

“It’s a blessing to be able to do what I love to do and learn everyday from it”. I also asked him about his upcoming fight versus Victor Cayo and he replied that he respects Cayo and knows he is a dangerous opponent and he will not underestimate him.

Zepeda feels ready for his upcoming challenge and invites all boxing fans to tune in on Saturday to see him fight on TV Azteca boxing channel and Bein sports network. Check your cable provider for more programming information.
