Jessie Vargas continues his quest for stardom

jessie_vargasThere’s no doubt that boxing is one of the most difficult sports in the world. Climbing through the world ranks means a boxer needs to defeat several world ranked opponents in order to get a title shot.

This coming Friday October 11, 2013 Jessie will headline the main event at the Thomas and Mack center in Las Vegas where he will face Ray Nahr a tough African fighter  from Ghana who holds a respectable record of 26-3-21 Ko’s.

Since turning pro at the young age of 18 Jessie Vargas has been on a mission to rise to the top of the sport he loves. Already many boxing journalist consider Vargas to be a top prospect in the stacked welter weight division. Sky is the limit for this young undefeated pugilist of only 24 years of age. Jessie stated that he knows his time will come but must remain focused and patient throughout the process of becoming the next boxing super-star. This Friday Vargas looks to improve his record to 23-0 as he fights in front of his home town crowd.

A victory over Ray Nahr would get him closer to his goal of fighting for a world title as early as next year. Jessie Vargas trainer Roberto Alcazar is no stranger to stardom as trained one of the biggest super stars of boxing Oscar De La Hoya. Alcazar feels that Jessie is on the right path to becoming the next Mexican-American boxing star.
