The eager record setter moved right into his first title defense on the main PPV card of last September’s mega event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas headlined by then unbeaten fighters, Floyd “money” Mayweather and Saul Canelo Alvarez. Unfortunately, Smith lost a decision to Carlos Molina that night dropping his IBF belt which he had worked so hard to claim and now has been put in a sense of boxing purgatory.

Enter “Dangerous” Ryan Davis (24-13 w/9 KOs), Smith’s first bump in the road to redemption. The Illinois fighter finds himself looking for a way out of a similar purgatory coming off of his own decision loss earlier this year. Davis is extremely eager to turn things around with Smith in his crosshairs as they headline from inside The Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. A veteran in his own right, “Dangerous” Davis brings to the ring a wealth of knowledge in the form of almost 40 pro bouts as he has tangled with just about every type of style you can think of from boxer-puncher, sleek technician to all out brawler along the way fighting top stars like former champions Zab Judah and Vanes Martirosyan.

Tune in this Friday as two warriors align on a collision with high stakes on the line and their professional futures hanging in the balance as they main event from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s a light middleweight showdown between Ishe Smith & Ryan Davis where the path to redemption travelled by one man can just as easily be the trail leading to a downward spiral for the other.
