After months of discussion and anticipation, the Impact Boxing series debuted on February 1st at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in New Mexico. It was an amazing night for Impact Network as the 4-fight telecast was a complete sellout with fans in attendance asking for boxing on regular basis afterwards.

The Tapia Promotions event featuring Austin Trout, Alonzo Butler and Abel Mendoza lived up to it’s name with the series featuring big knockouts, heated rivalries and much more.
The audience was introduced to the Impact Boxing Team and the executives of the network, CEO Bishop Jackson, President of Content Royal Jackson and their programming partner Steven Marcano. The premiere installment was well received by boxing fans.
On Friday, Stars and Champions – the follow up to one of boxing longest running and critically acclaimed series Knockout – was supposed to air but was pushed back 2 weeks. When asked what caused the delay, Marcano simply said it wasn’t hot enough to run at an Emmy spot and that Royal Jackson and himself decided to push it back.
Marcano stated that the goal for everything that they do is to be the market leader.  Running at the number 1 spot from this day on whether it is for live boxing, reality,  docuseries, or theatrical endeavors is the only goal. Second best simply won’t cut it. Marcano said that when you see an Impact logo you are going to receive a premium product.
For years Marcano’s way of work has been consider unorganized but today we realized it’s cutting hedge and brilliant. Knockout was a major hit. Every live event in boxing that he has done has sold out and he has a way of blending Stars and Champions. Many doubted the likeliness of success for him when he decided to launch boxing on a faith base network but with the the new influx of media attention Impact Network is at an all time high and now everyone is taking them very seriously. Impact is making just that, a big impact in mainstream America and the future is looking great for them.
