HBO triple header – Golovkin/Rosado – Salido/Garcia – Martinez/Burgos undercard fight results

In a light heavyweight brawl undefeated Sean Monaghan (17-0, 10 KO’s) fought himself to a unanimous decision over the game Roger Cantrell (15-3, 8 KO’s). Score were 75-77, 74-78, 73-79 in favor of Monaghan.

Archambault got up but seemed not to be recovered while the referee was counting. Giving the ref a reason to stop the bout with only 20 seconds into the fight.

Junior middleweight prospect Jersey Boy Glen Tapia (17-0, 10 KO’s) stopped Ayi Bruce (14-9, 8 KO’s) in the second round. Tapia dropped Ayi with a shot to the body in the second and was stopped after taking a barrrage of punches to the body while laying on the ropes.
Cruiserweight Anthony Ferrante (13-4, 8 KOs) pulled off  an upset against the previously unbeaten Isa Akberbayev (10-1, 7 KOs) in a war of attrition. Both Ferrante and Akberbayev  traded knockdowns in the first round. They fought on roughly even terms until Akberbayev was cut in the sixth. He was stopped at 1:19 of the tenth after being spectacularly knocked out face first.
Welterweight Mikael  Zewski (18-0, 14 KOs)  knocked down Brandon Hoskins (16-4-1, 8 KOs) 3 times in the fourth round giving the referee reasy to call halt to fight in a bout that was scheduled for six. Time of the stoppage was 1:45

In the opening bout supermiddleweight Ronald Ellis (7-0, 6 KOs) easily won a easily fought unanimous decision against Steven Tyner (3-10-2, 2 KOs). All three judges had it 40-36 for Ellis.
