New York, NY – An elbow injury suffered in training has delayed the return of kickboxing veteran and former MMA stand-out Pat “HD” Barry to the GLORY ring. It was announced last week that Barry would face hungry newcomer Karl Roberson in the co-headline bout of GLORY 24 on Oct. 9. No timetable has been given for Barry’s return.

In its place, the co-headline slot in Denver will be filled by Colorado local and recent GLORY Middleweight Qualification Tournament winner Dustin “The Hanyak” Jacoby (6-5, 5 KO) taking on heavy handed Wayne Barrett (5-3, 4 KO) of New York.

GLORY 24 is headlined by No. 2 ranked middleweight and American kickboxing star Joe “Stitch ‘Em Up” Schilling (19-6, 11 KO) battling world No. 3, Dutch technician Jason “Psycho” Wilnis (24-5-1, 6 KO) in a pivotal bout for the division’s title picture.

In the first of two hard-hitting semi-final match-ups that comprise GLORY’s one-night, four-man Heavyweight Contender Tournament, powerful Romanian Benjamin “Mister Gentleman” Adegbuyi (19-3, 14 KOs), fresh off his world title bout in June, faces Croatian southpaw Mladen “The Scorpion Sting” Brestovac (43-9-1, 28 KO). The second semi-final scrap pits explosive Ben “The Guvner” Edwards (36-10-3, 32 KO) of Australia up against Dutch kickboxing specialist Jahfarr Wilnis (22-5-1, 5 KO), brother of GLORY 24 headliner Jason Wilnis.

The tournament winner will earn the next shot at GLORY Heavyweight World Champion Rico Verhoeven.
