FRED ‘THE GENERAL’ MUNDRABY READY “TO DO BATTLE” WITH KID GALAHAD

MUNDRABY READY TO CLAIM THE COMMONWEALTH

CROWN IN KID GALAHAD’S HOME TOWN OF SHEFFIELD

London (5 May) Fred ‘The General’ Mundraby is ready “to do battle” with Kid Galahad for the vacant Commonwealth crown on May 10.

The Australian super bantamweight champion, Mundraby, is looking forward to testing his skills against the “technical and skilled” Galahad at Ponds Forge Arena, Sheffield, live on Channel 5.

“Obviously securing the win for my country will be awesome, but at the end of the day, we are just two men going to do battle,” Mundraby said.

“He is a very technical and skilled fighter and this is a great opportunity for me to test my skills against a great opponent such as Kid Galahad.”

Mundraby, 26, has an impressive record of 15 wins with seven knockouts and comes to the UK out of Cairns, Queensland.

Fighting in Great Britain for the first time in his career, he is very excited to “entertain the crowd” and thrive in the lively atmosphere.

“I am expecting a very excited and enthusiastic atmosphere from the crowd which I am use to and enjoy!” Mundraby said.

“It gets me pumped and ready to fight, but I don’t let the moment control me, I am in control of it.

“I’ve heard great things about the UK! Aren’t the Spice Girls from the UK? Haha I am looking forward to what this opportunity has to offer and the fans can expect a humble boxer with a cheeky sense of humour!

“I always like to entertain the crowd!”

Mundraby faces the Qatar-born Sheffield star Kid Galahad, who won the European super bantamweight title at the same venue just last month.

The undefeated former British and WBC International champion, Galahad, will not be overlooking ‘The General’ as he looks to secure win number 17 in front of his home crowd and close in on his world title aspirations.

Also scheduled to fight in Sheffield is undefeated heavyweight sensation Hughie Lewis Fury, Morden’s former British champion and European title contender Lenny Daws as well as a whole host of local talent on the bill.
