EUROPEAN TITLE ON THE LINE IN CHISORA-FURY GRUDGE FIGHT

queensbry promotions logoThe heavyweight fight of the year between Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury just got bigger.

It was announced yesterday that Chisora and Fury will clash in a Final Eliminator For The WBO World Heavyweight title on Saturday 26th July at the Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester.

The winner will get the number one spot for the right to fight WBO World Champion Wladimir Klitschko and the Vacant British Championship will also be contested.

And now Chisora’s European title has been added to the mix after Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev pulled out of purse bids freeing the way for Finchley star Chisora to put it on the line against Fury.

Manchester puncher Fury was the next in line to fight Chisora for the EBU title and with the big-fight already made between Fury and Chisora it made perfect sense.

Promoter Frank Warren said, “Chisora and Fury is the biggest all-British heavyweight fight in recent years.  There’s so much on the line for both men, the winner will get the number one spot to Klitschko, the vacant British title is up for grabs and now Chisora’s European title has been added.  Both men have got everything to fight for and I believe that you’ll see the very best from both of them.  They are proud fighting men and neither man will back down.  For that reason you’re going to see something special on the night.”
Tickets are available now, priced from £50, through Eventim on 0844 249 1000 oreventim.co.uk
