Dan Naylor’s Ready For Second Title Shot Of The Year, Challenges Ian Bailey On Saturday.

Dan_Naylor_1934WEBREADYDan Naylor is hoping it’s a case of second time lucky, when he challenges Southern Area Featherweight Champion Ian Bailey for his coveted crown, on the Johnny Eames TRAD TKO Events promoted ‘Turf War’ mega event at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London, this coming Saturday.

Back in March, Dan was unsuccessful in his challenge for the vacant Super Featherweight title, against Michael Devine. It was a cracking back and forth contest, which see both combatants visit the canvas, Devine in the first and young Dan in the tenth and final round.

Speaking earlier the twenty six year old from Gants Hill said of his opponent in the upcoming fight.

“Yeah, he’s got the title. I’ve watched the fight when he won it, I thought he was losing but he showed his fitness, strength and that. He showed a lot of desire and will to win the belt.

Obviously he’s going to want to keep it, I’m going to have to work double hard to take it from him.

Personally I thought I was robbed for the Southern Area last time at Super Feather, so I know you’ve not just got to beat these kids, you’ve really got to go for it.

Ian Bailey, well I’ve seen him a lot and he’s a come forward aggressive fighter, he wants to keep that belt, as much as anyone else who’d won it, it’ll be the same for me when I win it, so yeah I can see us both going at it and giving a really good show for everyone that comes to the show.

I know Bailey’s fought southpaws before and I’m sure he’s had southpaw sparring, so I’m pretty sure he wont be worried about me being a southpaw, although I use the southpaw stance really well, while other people in sparring and fights say how awkward I am, so hopefully I can use it to my advantage.

I know people will be coming from far and wide for the fight, so I want to say I’m really going to be putting on a show, I’m always dedicated, prepared and got a really good opponent and I think it will make for a cracking fight and the undercard is absolutely packed with talent and upcoming young boxers for the fans to watch prior to the main event.

It’s going to be a great fight, don’t miss it.”
