Lewkowicz_SampsonSan Juan.- A fight between former three-time world champion Miguel Angel Cotto and WBC Middleweight world champion, Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez, of Argentina, would be so appealing that the tickets would take a little time to be sold out.

That is the way manager Sampson Lewkowicz, of Uruguay, thinks regarding the impact that a bout between the two Latin-American idols would have, as it is a much-talked-about fight that could become a reality on June 7th, 2014 at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

According to several sources, the conversations for holding this fight are at a good pace of negotiations and have even started to create a lot of expectation, beyond the one that could be created if Saul Alvarez were involved; Alvarez has not been discarded to face Cotto anytime next year.

“A fight like this would produce something very interesting”, Lewkowicz remarked when talking to ESPN regarding the possible fight between Cotto and Martinez. “The tickets to the stadium would be sold out in 72 hours. It would be a total success”.
