Carlos Carlson Weighs in at 124.4; Fights on UniMas Saturday Night

ORANGE, Calif. (June 12, 2015) – Rising bantamweight Carlos “Memin” Carlson (17-1, 11 KOs)of Mexico fights for the first time as a world ranked challenger (WBC No.12) this Saturday against fellow countryman Heriberto “Tremendo” Delgado (11-2, 6 KOs).

 

At Friday’s weigh in, Carlson weighed in at 124.4 lbs. and Delgado checked in at 125 lbs. The 6-round fight is contested at featherweight.

 

Carlson vs. Delgado (6-rounds) is the televised opener of Top Rank’s Solo Boxeo Tecate onUnimas, and is presented in association with Thompson Boxing Promotions. The event originates from the Florentine Gardens in Hollywood, Calif.

 

The main event showcases a 10-round lightweight clash between Jose Felix Jr. (29-1-1, 24 KOs)and Yakubu “Black Mamba” Amidu (21-6-2, 19 KOs). Also appearing on the card is 2012 Olympic Bronze Medalist Oleksandr Gvozdyk (5-0, 4 KOs) and current Top 10 World Ranked CruiserweightMurat “Iron” Gassiev (22-0, 15 KOs).

 

Florentine Gardens Hollywood is located at 5955 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, Calif. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the first bout begins at 7:00 p.m.
