bernett_aldoCINCINNATI (Sept. 3, 2013) – R&R Promotions is proud to announce that Brandon “Untouchable” Bennett, one of Cincinnati’s premiere boxers, will now be fighting for the WBC USNBC Super Featherweight Championship this Saturday at the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati against Emmanuel Addo, from Ghana. The exciting bout is the main event of “Fight Night at The Shoe,” the first ever boxing event to be held at an Ohio casino.

Bennett has been working his way towards a title opportunity and at 16-1, the 5-foot-6 southpaw is gracious to have earned the opportunity from the WBC to fight for the U.S. title.

The WBC is also looking forward to this matchup of 130-pound contenders. “We at the WBC are excited about coming to Cincinnati for this championship match,” said Lee Peters, a supervisor for the WBC. “We are equally excited about being involved with the first championship bout to be held at any casino in the state of Ohio.”

Bennett, 25, has grown in the same gym as his friend Adrien Broner, a three-time world champion also from Cincinnati. Bennett serves as Broner’s chief sparring partner for all of his fights and as such Broner will be in attendance at the event to offer his support.

Addo, 27, who now resides in Chantilly, Va., is 12-1-1 (10 KOs).

Tickets start at $25 and are on-sale now at all Ticketmaster locations, www.ticketmaster.com, or 1-800-745-3000. The Shoe, Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati’s outdoor venue, is located at 1000 Broadway St., Cincinnati, OH 45202. The event would not be possible without the sponsorship of Radio One, Inc., LaRosa’s Pizzeria, and CBTS. To become a sponsoring partner contact us at boxingconnection@gmail.com.
