boxcinoPhiladelphia, PA–February 9, 2015– This Friday night , Mohegan Sun will feature the Boxcino Jr. Middleweight quarterfinals.  Next Friday, February 20 from the Turning Stone Resort Casino will feature the Heavyweight quarterfinals.

Below are some of the important numbers as the tournament begins this Friday LIVE on ESPN 2 beginning at 9 PM ET.

Cleotis Pendarvis holds a win over former world title challenger Michael Clark and lost a majority decision to former WBA Interim champion Mauricio Herrera.

Vito Gasprayan lost a unanimous decision to current WBA Jr. Welterweight champion Jessie Vargas

-NOTE—Last year’s Lightweight champion Petr Petov was the oldest participant .  He also had the most fights and fought the most rounds going into the tournament.
The weigh in will be Thursday at 5 PM at the Cabaret Theatre at The Mohegan Sun Resort Casino.

The doors will open at 7 PM on Friday with first bout beginning at 8 PM.  The first television bout will be at 9 PM.

The entire Boxcino 2015 series will be televised live on “ESPN Friday Night Fights” and is promoted exclusively by Artie Pelullo’s Banner Promotions.
The February 13 event is promoted by Banner Promotions, in association with Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports (CES). The remaining tickets to the February 13 edition of Boxcino 2015, priced at $125, $65, $40 and $30, including facility fee, can be purchased via www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, all Ticketmaster outlets or in person at the Mohegan Sun boxoffice.
The Boxcino 2014 tournament spawned breakout stars Willie Monroe and Petr Petrov. Both are now world-rated No. 3 as well as future stars Brandon Adams & Fernando Carcamo.
