ANDY RUIZ: We’re both undefeated, should be a good fight me and Joe Hanks

This past Friday, July 12, 2013 we caught up with undefeated Heavyweight prospect Andy Ruiz, Jr. (19-0, 13 KOs), of Mexicali, México who was in attendance at Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas for the Top Rank promoted ESPN2 Friday Night Fights show. Ruiz was last seen in the ring one month ago demolishing Carl Davis in one round and is now getting ready to be back in the ring July 27, as he will open the internal telecast of Fist of Gold 2, in a 10 round heavyweight fight with Joe Hanks (21-0, 14 KOs), of Los Angeles.

The exciting, multi-bout event at The Venetian® Macao’s CotaiArena™ features two-time Olympic gold medallist and three-time Amateur World Champion Zou Shiming returning to the ring in a flyweight matchup against Mexico’s Jesus Ortega.
In our talks with Ruiz he discusses his one round demolition of Davis, his preparation for his fight Joe Hanks and future plans.
