Video: Diego de la Hoya talks Tamayo win and having the De la Hoya name

Nineteen-year-old Mexicali phenom Diego “Golden Kid” De La Hoya (6-0-5 KO’s) obtained a fifth round technical knockout victory over Miguel Tamayo on July 9, 2014 fight at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Diego was in control throughout the bout, throwing combinations from different angles. In the 5th round a right hand to Tamayo´s face sent his rival back into the ropes. De la Hoya jumped on his opponent causing referee, Russell Mora, to stop the bout.
