TOMORROW! Garcia vs Lopez Official Dallas Weigh-In… Open to Public
DALLAS (June 13, 2013) — Undefeated World Boxing Organization (WBO) featherweight championMIKEY GARCIA (31-0, 26 KOs), of Oxnard, Calif., and former WBO junior featherweight and WBO featherweight champion JUAN MANUEL LOPEZ (33-2, 30 KOs), of Caguas, Puerto Rico, will step on the scale for their Official Weigh-In, at the West Concourse of the American Airlines Center (2500 Victory Ave., Dallas, TX. 75219), Tomorrow! Friday, June 14.
Doors will open at Noon with the undercard weigh-in beginning at 1:15 p.m. CT. Garcia and Lopez will step on the scale at 1:30 p.m. CT. The remainder of the undercard will finish weighing in after that.
Garcia and Lopez are in the last day of training for their upcoming world championship rumble in Dallas. Joining Garcia and Lopez on stage will be Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum and former two-time heavyweight champion George Foreman. Foreman is celebrating the 40th anniversary year of his winning his first heavyweight title. He knocked out undefeated defending champion Joe Frazier in the second round of their January 22, 1973 rumble which took place in Jamaica.

The Garcia – Lopez world featherweight championship event t will take place This Saturday! June 15, and will be televised live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX, on HBO Boxing After Dark®, beginning at 10:45 p.m. ET/PT. The HBO telecast will open with Top-10 contenders TERENCE CRAWFORD and ALEJANDRO SANABRIA, JR. battling for the vacant NABO lightweight title. This will be the first time HBO has televised a boxing event from the American Airlines Center.
