Ahead of the highly anticipated 2024 PFL Playoffs, Floridian competitors addressed media at American Top Team and Kill Cliff FC on Wednesday, July 24th. 2023 PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Impa Kasanganay (17-4) joined along with the undefeated Dakota Ditcheva (12-0), in addition to other top-line PFL athletes.

The 2024 PFL Playoffs kick-off on Friday, August 2, in Nashville, TN, when the Heavyweights and Women’s Flyweight Divisions take center stage at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. The PFL returns to Florida on Friday, August 16, featuring the Light Heavyweight and Lightweight semi-finals at the Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Hollywood, FL. On Friday, August 23, the 2024 PFL Playoffs conclude in Washington, D.C., at The Anthem, with the Featherweight and Welterweight divisions squaring off.

Impa Kasanganay:

“I am grateful to be fighting in Florida. Florida has been a blessing for me. I’ve been here in Kill Cliff FC and won my first world title here. It’s also not far from my hometown of Fort Lauderdale. I’m loving life. I actually fought at the Hard Rock before I was in the PFL, so this is a cool full-circle moment. I have a lot of respect for Josh (Silveira) and his whole team at American Top Team. I love to fight, so I’ll fight anywhere, even Alaska”.

Josh Silveira:

“This is my third Playoff. I have been here many times before. I feel like I’ve gone from the new guy in the PFL to now watching other new guys come in and be like, “This is a tough season”. But I try to put the fact that I am fighting at home and the fact this is a rematch to the side so I can fully focus. I guess it does feel good, though, to go back to this chapter from last November. I’m happy to be fighting in front of friends and family. I’m excited; I only need two more wins to win this whole thing”.

Dakota Ditcheva:

“I’m excited to go to Nashville. Everyone says I am going to love it. It’s nice to be in the semi-finals. It feels like I haven’t stopped all year. I like the season format because I prefer to fight regularly anyway. I have a great team, and I feel the strongest I have all season. I just love life here at American Top Team. This is the happiest I’ve been in my life here in Florida. Especially this year since I made the move and got my own apartment. I feel like I am at home now”.

Danny Sabatello:

“Any fight is similar; you have to treat it the same. Full steam ahead. Everyone is a dangerous opponent. I just fortunately matched up with someone who absolutely sucks, and I could KO him. It’s even better I get to KO him down here in South Florida with all the big MMA fans. I love that it’s down here in South Florida because now I live here. I moved here from Chicago. South Florida is a hotbed for MMA. A lot of people here love MMA. It’s going to be a big crowd. Especially now because the PFL is absolutely massive now. I’m excited”.

Dovlet Yagshimuradov:

“I take each fight seriously, and this one is no different. Each fight has certain complications, but I am ready to go”.

Antonio Carlos Jr.:

“There are a lot of American Top Team fighters here on this card fighting in our backyard. Lots of good names. All the fights I have are great, so I am excited about this. I haven’t stopped training because of how the season is; I keep momentum. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the playoffs, but I will be ready to jump in if anything happens”.

Alexei Pergande:

“Keeping my undefeated record is very important. Every time I go out there, I want to win. You also get paid more, right? It’s all about going in there performing and doing a dominant performance in front of my hometown”.

Elvin Espinoza:

“Being in the PFL is a blessing. I wasn’t even supposed to be in the season. I was thrown in there with two dogs. My first PFL fight was at the Hard Rock, so I’m happy to be back here”.

Michelle Montague:

“I am such a homebody, and I miss my family, but being here in South Florida is so important because of the number of female fighters here. It is such a treat to have that here”.
