Nonito Donaire: If Brandon pressures Pacquiao he can give him trouble
When we last saw Nonito Donaire step into a boxing ring, he would suffer a tough loss in a unification bout with brilliant former amateur star Guillermo Rigondeaux. The Cuban would come away with unanimous decision with scores of 116-111, 115-112, 114-113, and also add the WBO belt to the WBA one he previously had. Donaire fought every round, but just seemed to come up short in most of them, unable to solve the boxing riddle that Rigondeaux presented that night.
We spoke to Nonito this past Friday, July 12th, 2013 at the Texas Station Casino, in Las Vegas Nevada, where the Filipino Flash was present for a Top Rank promoted show. Nonito was courteous as always, taking our questions on his loss to the Rigondeaux, a proposed fight with Vic Darchinyan and his thoughts on the upcoming mega bout between his good friend Brandon Rios, and his countryman Manny Pacquiao.
Video Interview
