Fight fans all over the world love to see a good knock out and they are willing to pay to see that. Jose “El Chon” Zepeda is carving his name in the boxing world as a “knock out artist”.
At the young age of 24 Zepeda is a first generation Mexican-American who comes from a hard working family. Jose’s hunger for rendering his opponents unconscious comes from the struggle his family have faced in life.
At first glance this baby faced boxer looks more like a soccer player than a boxer, one would never guess his professional boxing record is 15-0 with 13 big wins coming by way of knock out.
It’s even hard for him to find sparing partners when preparing for a fight. Jose Zepeda has fought at 140pds and 135pds where he currently fights at, he hopes to become a world champion at 135 and then move up to 140where he feels even stronger.
His trainer Roberto Alcazar is one of the most respected technicians of the sweet science. Alcazar is a former pugilist and the man responsible for training one of boxing’s biggest superstars for over 95% of his career Oscar De La Hoya. Zepeda knows he’s in good hands with Alcazar and the team’s chemistry could not be better because his older brother is always beside him during training camp and in his corner when he’s boxing.
Right now Jose Zepeda is getting ready for one if his biggest fights of his life in the biggest stage of all the Thomas and Mack Center of Las Vegas one day before Marquez vs Bradley. The good news is that the fight card will be televised and admission is totally free of charge this coming Friday Oct 11. So if you’re in town come down to the Thomas and Mack center for a night of world class boxing, doors open at 5 pm. You don’t want to miss a good knock out.
