Heavyweight Magomed Abdusalamov in a coma after fight with Mike Perez
After losing a hard fought unanimous decision to Cuban Heavyweight Mike Perez on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin vs Curtis Stevens this Saturday night, Magomed Abdusalamov was taken to the hospital for a broken hand and nose. After his arrival Magomed complained of bad headaches and was not feeling to good, it was then discovered that he had a small blood clot on the brain. Doctors at Roosevelt Hospital immediately placed him in an induced coma to reduce any chance of complications.
His condition got worse on Sunday morning but Magomed’s exact condition is still not known yet.
HBO released a statement that said, “The thoughts and prayers of all of us at HBO Sports are with Magomed Abdusalamov. We are grateful for the medical care he is receiving here in New York City and out of respect for Magomed and his family, we will wait for any official updates on his condition before making any further statements.”

Magometh, I am a Mexican fan. Hope you come out of this well! I want to take this time to thank all of the fighters out there that risk it all for their fan’s.
