New York, NY – GLORY Sports International (GSI), parent company of the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced deals with three new broadcast partners, expanding the organization’s global television reach further in 2015. Brokered by Total Sports Asia (TSA), the deals with KBS N (covering South Korea), Digi Sport (covering Hungary & Romania), and StarTimes (covering Africa) will deliver live GLORY, GLORY SuperFight Series and GLORY Rewind content to over 23 million households.
A subsidiary of Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), KBS N is South Korea’s number one sports broadcaster. The deal, which began with GLORY 20 in April, will bring this year’s live GLORY kickboxing events, GLORY SuperFight Series cards, and GLORY Rewind shows to fifteen million households. KBS N has also acquired the rights to broadcast all of GLORY’s archived events.
Digi Sport is a set of three sports television channels in Romania and two in Hungary available through the Digi TV platform. 3.3 million households in Romania and 1.2 million households in Hungary will now be able to experience all live GLORY kickboxing events, GLORY SuperFight Series cards, and GLORY Rewind shows available in 2015.
GLORY programming will reach 23 new countries and more than 4 million subscribers on StarTimes Sport 2, the first sport self-produced channel of StarTimes Group distributed via StarTimes PayTV platform throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. The deal includes all live GLORY kickboxing events, GLORY SuperFight Series cards, and GLORY Rewind shows available in 2015.
GSI also announced a renewal with Pan-European television channel Eurosport, which broadcasts in 20 languages and reaches 131 million homes across 54 countries. In addition to continued coverage on Eurosport’s martial arts television magazine show Fight Club, the channel will air all live GLORY kickboxing events taking place this year.
