‘Bellator: Dynamite 2’ set to stream in Japan on AbemaTV
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – This Friday, “Bellator: Dynamite 2“ airs in America LIVE and FREE on SPIKE. Today, Bellator MMA is pleased to announce that its flagship event will be available live in Japan through AbemaTV, allowing users of the service to watch the premier mixed martial arts event through their smartphone as it takes place June 24 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
“When we first put the ‘Dynamite’ franchise in action, we made it very well known that we were paying homage to the ‘Dynamite’ events that originated in Japan,” said Bellator President Scott Coker. “With a main event that features two fighters with such rich history and heritage in Japan, we are very happy to be able to partner with AbemaTV to bring this event to the amazing MMA fans of this country.”
The action-packed event is headlined by a legend in Japan’s rich history of MMA, “Rampage” Jackson (36-11), who takes on Japanese Olympic Judo Gold Medalist Satoshi Ishii (14-5-1), as well as a lightweight title fight pitting Michael Chandler (14-3) against Patricky “Pitbull” (16-7) in the evening’s co-main event.
“Bellator: Dynamite 2“ is also stacked with former NFL playerMatt Mitrione (9-5) taking on Carl “Badwater” Seumanutafa (10-6), multiple kickboxing contests with notable names the likes of Denise Kielholtz and Kevin Ross, and finally, a women’s strawweight encounter featuring undefeated Ilima MacFarlane (3-0) against Rebecca Ruth (6-1).
