Erislandy Lara retains his WBA super welterweight title
The Cuban Erislandy Lara (left) , World Middleweight champion of the World Boxing Association ( WBA ) retained his title by unanimous decision against American Austin Trout (right). The vote of the judges were 117-110 , 117-110 and 118-109 .
From the start of combat Lara kept the same plan ( jabs and left hooks ) managing to keep his opponent out at all times tried to enter the Guantanamo guard , but Lara stopped him with quick lateral movements.
There were times where fans booed as the contestants both have the same style ( boxing coach ) did not give emotion to the meeting .
But on reaching the 11th assault the fight changed dramatically when Lara reached Trout with a violent left hook that took the U.S. to the canvas . After his victory over Lara Trout is expected to unify the title can get to any of the other world champions in their division.
