The President of the World Boxing Organization and the Secretary of Recreation and Sports of Puerto Rico Strengthen Ties to Benefit Boxing and Puerto Rican Youth

San Juan, PUERTO RICO – The President of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Gustavo Olivieri, Esq.,and the Secretary of the Department of Recreation and Sports (DRD), Héctor Vázquez Muñiz, met yesterday afternoon to establish a collaborative agreement aimed at benefiting boxing and Puerto Rican youth.

The meeting took place at the DRD headquarters in San Juan.

“We will be forming alliances with government agencies to expand the reach of the WBO’s social impact initiatives and activities throughout Puerto Rico,” said Olivieri.

“To succeed, you have to play as a team. I’m excited to begin my tenure as Secretary by collaborating with responsible and committed individuals in sports, such as the WBO. With them and Jake Paul, we are going FULL SWING!” added Secretary Vázquez Muñiz.

Also present at the meeting were Francisco Correa Juliá, Director of Jake Paul’s Boxing Bullies foundation; Enrique Mendoza, Esq., Vice Chairman of the WBO World Championship Committee, and Peter Rivera, Esq., veteran boxing promoter.
