London (April 30) Knockout star Hughie Fury takes his next step in the professional ranks looking for his third straight knockout in as many fights on May 11th.

The hot heavyweight prospect takes on Dean Storey at the Festival Arena, Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada.

In Hughie’s last contest he dominated the previously unbeaten Alex Rozman at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York.

Rozman, who had an identical record to Hughie going into the contest with one win coming by way of knockout, was demolished by the youngster.

In his classiest performance yet, shown on network television in the US on NBC and on terrestrial television in the UK on Channel 5, the 18-year-old younger cousin of heavyweight sensation Tyson Fury, put Rozman to the canvas twice before the referee stepped in to stop the contest in only the first round.

For Hughie, the first ever Irish/British fighter to win a gold medal at the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships at super heavyweight, this followed the emphatic second-round knockout victory over David Whittom on his professional debut.

Now the 6’7” teenager, who is already building a reputation as a knockout artist, takes aim at the experienced Dean Storey.

But, his performance will have to surpass his already impressive displays if he is to do the same to Storey.

The Canadian heavyweight has fought for the vacant CAM (Canadian American Mexican) heavyweight title and only lost on points when he fought “Fast” Eddie Chambers over six rounds in 2002.

However, Hughie, who trained with his cousin Tyson as he prepared for his IBF world heavyweight title eliminator against Steve “USS” Cunningham, will feel the confidence and momentum flowing.

The fight, promoted by Fighting Fisherman Promotions, will be Hughie’s second fight in Canada and is scheduled for four rounds.

The evening’s main event will see the current undefeated Canadian NABA cruiserweight champion, Chris Norrad, taking on Quebec’s knockout artist Alexandre Hamel.

Undefeated heavyweight sensation Tyson Fury will be a special guest.

Doors open at 6.00pm Eastern Time (ET) with boxing commencing at 7.00pm ET.
