Woge promises entertainment against Dudchenk

October 26 will see a lot of title action at the EWE Arena in Oldenburg, Germany. Overall, there will be four belts on the line. On paper, the most entertaining might very well be IBF Intercontinental Champion Robert Woge’s (12-0, 10 KOs) mandatory defense against Anatoliy Dudchenko (18-2, 13 KOs).

Light heavyweight banger Woge, who is never in a dull fight, seemed to step up his game since winning his first belt as a professional in February, stopping Hakim Zoulikha in eleven rounds. Four months later, the 29-year-old knocked down unbeaten Dariusz Sek in round one enroute to a unanimous decision win. “Against Sek I proved to my coach Mr. Wegner that I can follow his game plan over the complete distance of a fight,” said Woge. “I feel more and more comfortable under his tutelage. There is still room for improvement and I will show the world that I can do even better on October 26.”

However, it is not going to be easy against Ukrainian Dudchenko. “He is a lanky guy with good reflexes. In addition, he can punch a bit. Our styles will make for an entertaining fight. A win in Oldenburg will bring me closer to the top of the world rankings.”

Dudchenko sees this bout also as an opportunity to get in line for a world title shot. “I moved to the USA to fulfill my goal of becoming a world champion one day,” the prodigy of Ruben Chavez said. In his eyes, Woge will be just another victim. “He is talented but it’s far too early for him to fight me – believe me when I say it will be like a father beating his son.” Dudchenko’s confidence stems from the people around him. “I’m training with WBA World Middleweight Champion Gennady Golovkin at Big Bear, California. To be the best, you have to work with the best!”

So action will be guaranteed when Woge and Dudchenko collide on October 26.
