BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA — January 21, 2015 — In front of yet another completely sold out crowd in Baton Rouge, World Fighting Championships presented six competitive, high energy bouts, showcasing the level of quality that the promotional company is becoming known for, in both the boxing and MMA communities.
Justin Thomas (11-0, 17KO) shined in the main event, knocking out his opponent, David Lujan (4-3-0, 1KO) in the fourth round of their scheduled six round contest. “It was a great turnout and a great fight for me. It was a real privilege being the main event, especially fighting a fighter like David,” said Thomas after the bout. “He is a great fighter and a great person. He showed great character outside the ring and made me give him more respect.” Said Thomas of the decision, “I got to show my pure boxing skills instead of relying on my power. I’m looking forward to continuing to fight good competition. I feel that in this fight I proved I’m a main event fighter, and I’m just going to get better each fight.”
