WBC officially names Omar Figueroa their lightweight champion

Adrian Broner has been a pride of the WBC, being a former World Youth Champion, a former USNBC Champion, and WBC lightweight world champion. The WBC offered full support to him during his quest to campaign in the welterweight division.

During the period of time that Adrian Broner competed as a welterweight, the WBC ordered an interim championship and Omar Figueroa dramatically won the interim belt.
