“I train with top guys. I train with Gracie, world champion, best jiu-jitsu guy there is. I train with Nick [Diaz], Jake [Shields) and Gil [Melendez] top ten MMA fighters; Joe Schilling top ten kickboxer. Just all around top ten guys and all I see this guy in the park with a goof ball.”
Nate Diaz discussing his training for his upcoming fight with Conor McGregor on UFC 196.
Nate Diaz was at the final press conference for UFC 196 where he will face UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor at a weight limit of 170 lbs. McGregor was originally scheduled to face UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos until the Brazilian had to pull out of the event due to a foot injury.
Also on the card is Women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm who will be putting her world title on the line for the first time against second-ranked Miesha Tate in the co-main event of UFC196. The undefeated Holm became a household name at UFC® 193 when she knocked out previously unbeaten Ronda Rousey. The former boxing champion looks to keep her perfect record intact when she meets Tate, who is riding a dominant four-fight win streak.
