TOMOKI KAMEDA WANTS TO CONQUER AMERICA

Tomoki Kameda wants to become one of the best fighters in the world if not the best. Training in Miami, Florida the undefeated WBO bantamweight champion who hold a Profesional record of 29-0 (18 KOs) is set to defend his title in Mexico in May, 10th against his mandatory challenger Pungluang Sor Singyu 46-2 (31 KOs) and expects a very tough fight, but his goal after defending his championship belt is to conquer America.

“That has always been my dream, when I first went to Mexico at the age of 15, I always dreamed of becoming a world champion, conquering the love of the Mexican people as well as my people from Japan and then move forward and becoming a star in the United States, I hope I can do it and I know I can do it”. Said Tomoki whose nickname is “El Mexicanito” which translates to little Mexican do to his Mexican fighting style, the years that he spent in Mexico and his perfect Spanish.

“My parents always taught me that I had to sacrifice many things in order to become a good person and a better athlete and I’ve been following their advice and so have my brothers who are current world champions,  I know I have to Sacrifice a lot to make my dream a reality, that’s why I’m preparing like never before and to be training alongside Guillermo Rigondeaux and Yuriorkis Gamboa is a big plus for me and make me that much hungrier to defeat Singyu” said Kameda

Kameda who is under the Canelo Promotions banner is the brother of current IBF Jr. Bantamweight Champion Daiki Kameda and current WBA Bantamweight Champion Koki Kameda, the first trio of brothers to hold world championships at the same time in the history of boxing and plans to continue this tradition of which he feels proud.
