The President of the World Boxing Organization and President of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce seal groundbreaking agreement
The World Boxing Organization (WBO) continues to advance its mission of strengthening boxing on a global scale, and today we are pleased to announce a strategic alliance with the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB), an institution committed to the development of sports and the creation of new opportunities in Colombia.
WBO President, Gustavo Olivieri, Esq., and CCB President, Dr. Ovidio Claros Polanco, have sealed a groundbreaking agreement that will bring the 2025 World Boxing Convention to Bogotá. This alliance will not only open new doors for boxing in the region but will also mark the beginning of a key collaboration with the business sector to enhance the sport and support its athletes.
WBO President, Gustavo Olivieri, Esq., highlighted: “This is the beginning of partnerships with the private sector and public entities, which will lead to a significant advancement in achieving the organization’s mission-driven objectives.”
Dr. Ovidio Claros Polanco, President of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, praised the WBO’s efforts in promoting boxing worldwide:
