Chicago, IL (April 11, 2014) Chicago’s two most popular professional boxers, DONOVAN “Da Bomb” GEORGE and ‘Hollywood” MIKE JIMENEZ will return to battle on Friday, APRIL 18 at the Windy City’s premier fight venue, Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana, it was announced today by Chicago’s leading boxing promoters Hitz Boxing and Round 3 Productions.
“These are the two most popular fighters in Chicago and with our anticipated huge crowd, local fight fans should expect an excellent night of action,” said Bobby Hitz, now in his 25th year of promoting in Chicago. “With tickets starting at just $25.00, this is an excellent value for the sports fans dollar.”

Advance tickets starting at $25.00 for “FIGHT NIGHT” are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, The Venue/Horseshoe Box Office and HitzBoxing.com. Doors open on the night of the event at 7:00 p.m. CT with the first bell at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Known internationally for his well earned “blood and guts” warrior reputation and celebratory back flip celebrations, world ranked contender George will face off against St. Paul, Minnesota veteran TROY LOWRY in an eight round, super middleweight clash while hot light heavyweight prospect Jimenez will look to stay undefeated against BRANDON “EL Cubanito” Gonzalez of San Diego, California in a scheduled six round tilt.
Just 29-years-old, George, 24-4-2 (21KO’s), will be looking to kick start his 2014 campaign while seeking his 25th professional victory. Long a fan favorite over his nine-year career, George has never lost in his native Chicago.
Fielding a record of 28-13-0 with seventeen knockouts, Lowry will also be making his 2014 debut.
The 26-year-old Jimenez, 13-0-0 (10KO’s), like George born and raised in Chicago, will look to stay on his already torrid pace for 2014, having already scored two knockouts. Most recently the hard-hitting Jimenez drilled England’s Jimmy Campbell to the canvas in the first round to bring a show-stopping end to the Hitz Boxing FEBRUARY 28TH event at the Horseshoe Casino.
Gonzalez enters the clash with Jimenez sporting an even record of 12-12-4 (6KO’s) and comes off hard fought battle with Derrick Webster on MARCH 14, losing a six round majority decision in the fan favorite’s hometown.
In a special attraction event at “FIGHT NIGHT”, world ranked Russian heavyweight ANDREY FEDOSOV, 24-3-0 (19KO’s), will also make his highly anticipated return to the Horseshoe Casino.
Also included on the card in separate bouts are numerous Chicago fan favorites and top prospects; undefeated cruiserweight DIMAR “Strongman Ortuz 9-0-0 (6KO’s), welterweight ROY NAVARRO, 5-1-0 (3KO’s) of Chicago, junior welterweights ANTONIO “Aztec God of War” CANAS, 9-1-1 (3KO’s) and EDDIE RAMIREZ, 3-0-0 (3KO’s) of Aurora.
