Takashi Miura vs Abner Mares in talks for May 3rd

WBC super featherweight champion Takashi Miura (27-2-1, 20KOs) could defend his title against Mexican Abner Mares on May 3rd  in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Arena during the card starring Floyd Mayweather.

According to Japanese Promoter Akahiko Honda of Teiken Boxing Gym, Miura is willing to accept the offer, if Golden Boy Promotions wants. Honda said that negotiations are taking place and there’ll probably be an announcement next week.

Takashi Miura has faced four Mexican fighters and he’s defeated them all.
