March 28th 2026 the stage is set for Sebastian Fundora to defend his superwelter weight world title ( WBC) vs Keith Thurman live from the world famous arena The MGM Grand Garden Arena, From Las Vegas, NV.

The fight was originally supposed to happen back in October of 2025, but was postponed due to an Injury that happen to Fundora in training camp.

This is definitely an interesting fight as Fundora stands at 6’6 to Thurmans 5’9. Fundora is a tall pressure fighter that likes to fight on the inside and Thurman is a boxer puncher with devastating power. This has the recipe to be a great action packed fight!

Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora has been on a tear since his knock out loss back in April of 2023. Since then he’s gone 3-0 with 2 KO’s and capturing The WBC world title. Fundora ironically enough replaced Keith Thurman when Thurman was set to fight Tim Tszyu. Fundora stepped in as a late replacement; what happen next was a fight for the ages as Fundora outlasted Tszyu in 12 of the bloodiest rounds you’ll ever see.

Shortly after that Fundora made quick work of Chordale Booker stopping him in 4 rounds. Then Fundora really made an impact on the whole division when in the rematch with Tszyu, Fundora ultimately made Tszyu quit on the stool in-between rounds going into the 8th round.

There is no doubt Fundora might just be the best fighter at 154 pounds.

Once upon a time, “One Time” Thurman used to be regarded as arguably the top welter weight in the mid 2010’s. Having fought the best the division had to offer like Dhawn Porter, Danny Garcia, Mario Barrios, and Manny Pacquiao with the only loss coming to Pacquiao.

Almost a year to the date Thurman made his debut to a new weight class 154lbs proving to be too much for an overmatched opponent in Brock Jarvis, Thurman did what he was supposed to do in stopping him in 3 rounds. Was that enough to convince fans and media that Thurman can possibly stop Fundora?Probably not, but it did show Thurman still has the punching power on his side.

Styles make fights in the sport of boxing and this is a great example of that! We have a tall pressure fighter in Fundora and a great boxier puncher in Thurman. This has the recipe to be a classic. Will Fundora make this Thurman’s last time? Or Will Thurman have one more time? We shall see
