Reno is no stranger to San Diego since earlier this year she waged war against Amaris Quintana in a losing effort. She is back to exact her revenge but this time against Blackshear who will be in her second fight of the year and the second in her hometown after a twenty year career where she conquered her first title back in 1997 in her third fight as a pro. She is 2-2 in her last four fights with wins over Sindy Amador and world title challenger Linda Soto. Blackshear is now ready to get back into title contention so she can finish off her impressive career but first she must get pass Reno.

In the co-feature of the night scheduled for eight flyweight rounds, undefeated NABF light flyweight champion Kenia Enriquez (11-0, 6KO) of Tijuana will face her most experienced opponent to date in Saltillo, Mexico’s Mayela “La Cobrita” Perez (11-15, 7KO). Perez is the much more experienced fighter with 157 rounds under her belt compared to Kenia’s 40. In an eleven-year career Perez has faced the best in the lighter divisions including Ana Maria Torres, Melissa McMorrow, Carina Moreno, Jessica Chavez and Sindy Amador. Perez is currently the WBC Silver straw weight champion.

Enriquez is coming off her biggest win of her career when she stopped the aforementioned Blackshear in seven rounds to capture the NABF title. Last February she won a six round unanimous decision over the talented Noemi Bosques of Florida. This will be Enriquez’s third fight of the year.

In the third female fight of the night, Hawaiian amateur standout Haley Pasion will look to continue her success as an amateur now in the pros when she faces fellow first timer Jillian Lybarger in a four round super featherweight fight. Pasion is trained by former world champion Jesus Salud. Despite in her first fight as a boxer, Lybarger of Goodyear, AZ, is no stranger to blows as she also fights in MMA as part of the first set of twin sisters to practice the sport professionally.
