Russian Hot Prospect Agadzhanyan In Action At York Hall, London May 2nd
Sensational unbeaten Russian Featherweight prospect David Agadzhanyan is set to make his first visit to the famous York Hall in London on Saturday May 2nd, where he will fight a yet to be named opponent, on the Mark Lyons and Billy James-Elliott promoted LORDS OF THE RING event.
Agadzhanyan, who has three top class stoppage victories from his four bouts to date, is proving to be yet another exciting top Eastern European prospect to explode on the scene, one that could soon emulate the likes of Gennedy Golovkin and Segey Kovalev in dominating his chosen division.
As if to prove that very point, back in March, at the Grand Central Hall in Liverpool, the young Russian star chose to battle it out with an equally tough, uncompromising and perhaps more importantly unbeaten prospect in the form of Czech Republic’s Daniel Bazo,
Legendary referee Mickey Vann was the man charged with keeping control as these two young warlords locked horns.
Bazo started hard and fast, forcing Agadzhanyan back as he signaled his intention of securing and holding centre ring at all costs.
Initially Agadzhanyan seemed content to box of the back foot, calmly dealing with every forceful attack, with sensational countering shots and scintillating combinations, then around the one minute, thirty second mark Agadzhanyan made a full on assault to gain control of the centre ring for himself, Bazo was having none of it and what ensued was an all out Battle Royale of epic proportions that was to last more or less the full four rounds.
Agadzhanyan appeared to have secured the first three rounds, mainly due to being more controlled in his attacks, as well as landing by far the cleaner, crisper and more meaningful shots, but the fourth stanza was way too close to call.
These two really stepped it up, much to the delight of the crowd they threw caution to the wind and literally went toe-to-toe for virtually the whole three minutes.
After four sensational rounds it was down to referee Mickey Vann to decide which of these young gladiators was to keep his precious unblemished record, and when his scorecard was read out by MC. Mike Goodall it was Agadzhanyan who got the nod by a clear 39-37 points margin.
After the fight Agadzhanyan’s manager and promoter Stephen Vaughan praised his young charge’s performance, as well as took the opportunity to serve notice on the domestic prospects within the Featherweight division that Agadzhanyan would be campaigning in the UK regularly, starting with May 2nd at York Hall in London.
David Agadzhanyan, against a yet to be named opponent, features on the Mark Lyons & Billy James-Elliott Wise Guys Promotions LORDS OF THE RING event, that takes place at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, London on Saturday 2nd May 2015.
