INDIO, CALIFORNIA -On the undercard of Arreloa vs Mitchell, 2004 Puerto Rican Olympian Carlos Velasquez looks to put his first former world champion under his belt. Velasquez had over 250 amateur fights beating the likes of Yuriokis Gamboa and many other top fighters.
Velasquez weighed 126.2 while Ramos weighed 125.3. Many expect Velasquez to be Puerto Rico’s next star coming out of the amateurs. On Saturday night it will definitely be a big step forward in the right direction if successful.
