NEW BLOOD: JOET GONZALEZ
Joet Gonzalez is one of the new prospects of Golden Boy Promotions, the lanky kid of Mexican roots has a boxing pedigree, his father was a fighter who guided Joet from a young age and thought him the fist steps in boxing.
“My father was a fighter, he came from Mexico and I was born here in the USA but my blood is Mexican and I love Mexican boxing, I fell in love with the sport because we used to watch it on the TV”.
Gonzalez fights as a featherweight today he battles Ricardo Proano at the Toshiba Plaza in Las Vegas strip, the event is promoted by Golden Boy and is free to the public, in the same card as Pablo Cesar Cano and Marvin Quintero versus Petr Petrov.
“I’m very excited, to be part of this card and to fight one day before Canelo vs Khan, we worked very hard and things are coming our way, I’m still young but I would want to rule the featherweight division as Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera and Juan Manuel Marquez did, I will do what ever it takes to accomplish that” concluded Gonzalez 12-0 (6 KOs)
