Mayorga worried about getting fair shake vs King in court

Tensions have been high the past few days as Don King attempts to take food off of his former fighter Ricardo Mayorga’s plate with a lawsuit attempting to block his August 29th pay-per-view clash against fellow legend Shane Mosley.

The two sides met earlier today in court in Miami, FL. The courthouse was packed with reporters and one of the reporters inside the court (who will not be named for fear of retaliation by the court) said that the judge’s affiliation with the plaintiff and/or his legal team needs to immediately be called into question and investigated.

Many reporters were shocked that the case wasn’t thrown out immediately as it has been several years since Don King has done anything for Mayorga’s career.

As a matter of fact, Mayorga fought last year in the U.S. and in his native Nicaragua without any hassle and now, when a lucrative fight has presented itself for Mayorga to provide for his family, King emerges from the shadows.

It will be interesting to see which way the judge rules in the very near future.
