Mikaela Laurén (27-3, 12 KOs) won the first battle against Klara Svensson (16-1, 5 KOs) as the Swedish rivals went head-to-head in a coin toss to decide who enters the ring second for their interim WBC World Female Welterweight title fight on Saturday night.

The Stockholm fighter had previously demanded that she walk to the ring second and was left outraged when it was announced that the decision would come down to a flip of a coin.

Laurén eventually got her way after correctly calling the toss during a live TV3 broadcast following the Sweden vs. Finland ice hockey game.

‘’Justice has been done,’’ said Laurén. ‘’It’s my hometown and I deserve to walk second. I’m happy we’ve finally come to right decision, and now I can focus all my efforts on knocking Klara out on Saturday night.’’

Svensson, however, insists the outcome will have no effect on her performance in the ring. ‘’It’s makes no difference to me,’’ she said. ‘’Either way, I’m ready to win this fight!’’

The female fighters will come face-to-face for the last time at tomorrow’s weigh-in before finally settling their difference in the ring on Saturday night at the Hovet in Stockholm.
