Knockout Season Three confirmed for 2016 with more stars and a bigger budget
It has only been 60 days since Roy Jones scored an incredible one punch knockout at Foxwoods Resort and Casino to end season 2 of Knockout with a bang. The show is boxing biggest reality show and that was proved in the ratings with the show up 900 percent from season one.
It has now been confirmed that season three is a go with filming scheduled for late February. This will be the reality show’s biggest season with even bigger names and it’s biggest budget to date.
The second season of Knockout produced young stars like Keith Tapia, who has gone on to win numerous fights on the Premier Boxing Champions platform and Hylon Williams, who will be in action in December on HBO Latino.
This small reality television show that no one believed in has became the biggest platform for up and coming fighters and now it has become it’s own league.
With season three on tap, Knockout is set to compete with the PBC, UFC, etc. with live fights and a reality show. Knockout has taken a page out of the UFC and the WWE by becoming full service television and is the only film company to put boxers in Hollywood.
Dana White made a superstar out of Ronda Rousey and Vince McMahon did the same with Dwyane Johnson, aka The Rock. So far no one as done this in boxing and the creator of Knockout has been totally focused on getting to the next level and elevating the series.
Knockout is the biggest show on NUVO and has put them in uncharted territory with live events and major stars.
There will be a major announcement about the show in the coming weeks. For now all that can be said is that all promoters and networks will understand the marketing genius by year end. Knockout will be one of the top five most profitable boxing companies in 2016.
