Knockout live Set for Late June or early July.

Rumors have been flying hot and heavy about boxing’s only reality show Knockout. Rumors have been going around from who will be the headliner as to what venue will host the event. I decided to dig in and find out the truth and here is what I have foud out. The show will go in to production next week for a 10 day shoot and the live fight is set for June 24 but it may be pushed to early July because an additional site is also interested in hosting the fight.

Rumors about the show’s cancelation have proven to be false and the executive producer made a statement saying that the rumors may have stemmed from him being focused on the spin off show which has been green lighted on a major cable provider and will reach 83 million homes. He also said that the Knockout cult can breathe easy because season 4 of the show is a go as well.

The fact is Knockout has been great for boxing and will remain great for boxing and is still the best outlet for boxers outside of PBC, Top Rank, Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy who are the leaders in the sport.

But there isn’t another entity in boxing that can compare to Knockout on it’s level. I figured out that most boxing heads and insiders do not understand why Steven Marcano gets televised dates, the way the show attracts the biggest names, the way the sponsorship surpasses most others. In a way it’s really simple. It’s not about boxing but about entertainment just like the UFC and the WWE.

After I did independent research and cofirmed that the show is alive and well I called the executive producer Steven Marcano to get his reaction to the rumors about the show and he kept it short and sweet.

“Fuck them, the people who comment on me don’t no me. I have had issues with Knockout and all my businesses but I get fighter’s money outside of the boxing ring and no one does that but me. Look, winners just win. You hear bullshit everyday like Al Haymon is running out of money but Haymon has been rocking for years. He’s smart as fuck, the man will be fine but people talk shit because they can’t be him. People two years ago said that Oscar was done but how does that look? This year he has the two biggest fights. Mayweather, Arum, King etc, you always hear rumors but it’s by confused people who don’t understand how people get shit done. Envy is love and hate at the same time. But here’s my thoughts, fuck me – do you – and we’re fine over here even with our problems and all. I can’t focus on bullshit,” Marcano explained.

“Knockout is great and the spin off is gonna be crazy. My Lil Star company just did a deal for a factory in the United States and my first movie Fighting Love starts film next February.”
So my fact finding is complete. Season 3 is almost wrapped and the live event is a go for June 24th. There you have it folks.
